My name is Hazel and I am the creator of the BIG and small Parents group.

 This group is primarily open to any single parent, mum or dad, who is the main career of their children.We meet up with our children, every third Sunday, outdoors within the Bournemouth area. At present, there is no upper age limit for children.

I have had conversations with friends (who are also single parents) and we discussed how difficult it is raising a child alone, which is made harder by the lack of support and services for single parents within the area. We also felt isolated due to reduced social networking. There appears to be a number of parent and toddlers groups; under 1’s and dad's groups, but no single parent groups. This is the reason why I decided to create this group.
